Recreational, Technical and Cave diving:

At BC Sidemount we take training very seriously! For this reason we approach this matter with a different point of view. We do not bill per course but per day. Each individual learns differently and at their own pace. If a diver has not successfully completed a course after the minimum period of time required, more training days are available. It is very important to us that after every course, the student leaves here with a full and thorough understanding and as confident, self-sufficient divers. We do not believe a diving certification is bought, but rather earned!

We consider ourselves like personal trainers, but for scuba diving! A new perspective in the diving world.

Our way of teaching comes from the Technical and Cave diving world. This means invest a lot of time fine tuning important, core diving skills such as: buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, out of gas drills, etc. If you would like to improve and perfect your diving abilities, you have come to the right place!

A seven to eight hour day is the approximate time for one course day (times can be adjusted to accommodate different schedules). Training days can include detailed briefings, diving, debriefings and GoPro footage (This will allow the diver to see their trim, tank positioning and improve diving skills and drills).

For this reason Recreational and Technical/Cave courses are billed differently.

Recreational Diving is billed at $280/day and Technical and Cave diving at $380/day.

Our Open Water and Discover Sidemount Diving courses are the two only courses in which equipment is provided. For any other course, equipment will be billed accordingly (tanks are always included)

Commercial Diving:

BC Sidemount is also available for commercial diving related jobs. We are certified DCBC (Diver Certification Board of Canada) and IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association).

If you require hull inspections, mooring inspections with or without video, hull cleaning or lost item/tool retrieval, please contact us for a quote.
